Automatic Systems for Wastewater pH Control - A Comparative Study
Abstract
This paper presents the development, at the simulation level, of three automatic systems for wastewater pH control. These systems were built using conventional control methods (Proportional-Integral- Derivative – PID) and also advanced control techniques (fuzzy logic, artificial neural networks-ANN and adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference systems-ANFIS). For each of the developed systems it is achieved a description and a presentation of the simulations results. The goal of this paper is the analysis of the developed systems performance, using specific criteria within a comparative study.
