Considerations on several approximate methods for the evaluation of adequate attenuation systems

Abstract

Using a system with two degrees of freedom and one with three degrees of freedom it is determined the response of the systems using the β method of Newmark, the method of the central differences, methods of approximating the solution, by polynoms of the third degree and a method iteratively residual. The results are compared on the basis of the relative deviation for each point and on the basis of the average of the irregularity.
