Raspberry Pi 2 security system using Windows 10 IoT

Valeriu Manuel Ionescu, Constantin Florian Stănescu

Abstract

This paper presents the implementation of a security system with proximity sensor, video camera, display and keypad controlled by the Raspberry Pi single board computer. The system will be controlled via keypad interaction and is connected to a server on the network where it stores relevant data. The novelty is that the operating system used is Windows 10 IoT presented by Microsoft in the summer of 2015 for ARM devices. The paper presents the challenges of this implementation and of using Windows IoT in small scale projects.
